Sept 2017 – Jan 2022
Eniac AB creates and maintains a service named Aveny. It is used by a large part of the dioceses in Sweden to manage bookkeeping, bookings, facility management, maintenance of graves, analytics, and other kinds of administration.
The next generation of Aveny moves from the desktop to a web interface and should be accessible on a large screen as well as tablets and, for some pages, even smartphones.
The user roles and needs vary a lot. Some are priests; others are economists, assistants, undertakers, or administrators. For some, the tools are their daily work environment. For others, the use is more sporadic to handle specific tasks, like reading reports, attest invoices, or bills.
My role
The main task was to propose strategies for the user experience, design specific views, and the visuals to keep the branding clear and visible. I created a series of mockups, first in Sketch, then in XD, and finally in Figma. I participated in the front-end React development. I monitored the development of the main tools and followed up in discussions of how to simplify without dumbing down the functionality. I also functioned as a mentor for the in-house resources that eventually would take over the continuous work.
