Rant about the art of hiring ppl

Typical ain’t it. There you go believing that you’re hired, as you’ve been invited to apply, as you’ve been at the interview, as you have been asked to forward your economic demands.

Then when you follow up on the mail about your monetary demands they break the news, there’s another one applying at the same time as you are.
I have nothing to say about competition, but I prefer to know about it. If I had, I would have gone about stuff slightly differently - mainly being more formal and demonstrating my skills in a more explicit fashion.

I would moreover not have planned from the standpoint that I expected to be hired, not have told family and friends, and not had expectations.
As things stand I may still be hired, but the relaxing weekend we planned will be anything but.
